Here is a breakdown of costs from Ray.

2x4    foam cor plain                        $40.00 ea
2x4    foam cor laminated               $55.00 ea
2x4    alupanel laminated               $85.00 ea
2x4    MDO Plywood laminated    $96.00 ea

All plus tax and assuming no setup. Setup is usually $25.00 – $50.00.
Hope that works for you.
Ray

Naturally,
the nicer and more longer term the boards are the higher the price. MDO
is an actual ½ “ board, gives dimension like existing ones. Alupanel is
thin like foam cor but a very durable metal clad, doesn’t warp and bow
as much. I believe foam cor laminated is the stiffer and tougher version
of the original foam cor, think tempered – which it isn’t. Foam cor
original, handle with care and do not body slam it.

One of the big questions is how many boards should we have made?

Seems like the basic 5 are the minimum

  • yawara
  • goshin
  • nage
  • shime
  • oku

I would prioritize the remaining lists in this order:

  1. shinnin
  2. shinyo
  3. kiai no maki
  4. shin gen

What do y'all think?
